LONDON UNITED-HAREFIELD ACADEMY 90 – 75 BRADFORD DRAGONS (EBL DIV TWO)
London United inflicts first League defeat of the season upon Bradford Dragons.
Just 3 weeks after being the only team in Division Two to be defeated by bottom of the table, Sheffield Arrows, London United became the only team so far to defeat top of the table, Bradford Dragons.
Leading right from the end of the first quarter to the end of the game, London United kept up the pressure on the Bradford defence throughout and matched that with a solid display in defence themselves. Coach Jack Majewski took the opportunity to play two members of his promising U18 squad based at The Harefield Academy, Kenny Kwame and Ryan Noel, and both boys acquitted themselves remarkably well against the Division Two League leaders.
Top scorer was Andy Harper with 36 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists with Marius Poskus adding 17 points before having to leave the court with a split lip, which subsequently required stitches. Kenny Kwame contributed 11 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
