HEMEL STORM 75 – 72 LONDON UNITED-HAREFIELD ACADEMY (PATRONS CUP)

The London United Men’s team travelled up to the Amaechi Centre in Manchester to meet Hemel Storm in the Division Two Patron’s Cup Final exactly one year after having been Division Three Cup finalists in the same venue. Quite an achievement in two successive seasons.

However, this time the Division Two Cup was to elude London United by the smallest of margins. Leading by just one point at the end of the first quarter, London United were never quite able to pull themselves ahead by more than one or two points and Hemel Storm maintained a narrow lead at the end of each of the following three quarters.

United shooting guard Andy Harper led all scorers with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists in a 40 minute performance, with Bode Adeluola finishing with 14 points. Marius Poskus added 8 points and 9 rebounds
